Something I find very interesting is that the Seahawks seem to have a passion for bringing family members of current players and coaches onto the roster. I have recently learned about a few family connections that I would like to share with you.
Marshawn Lynch’s cousin, Ryan Murphy, was the Seahawks last selection, 248th overall, in the 2015 draft.
Keenan Lambert is an undrafted rookie who agreed to terms with the Hawks this year. You might know his big brother, Kam Chancellor.
Brennan Carroll, Pete’s oldest son, was recently hired as an assistant offensive line coach. He will be joining his brother Nate Carroll, the youngest, who is already an assistant wide receivers coach. See the story about Nate and Pete’s relationship here.
And of course the Seahawks say they treat all players (current and former) like family. That was definitely shown when they hired back former player and star, Lofa Tatupu, as an assistant linebackers coach. I have always been a fan of Tatupu, so I am thrilled to see him back. I still have a #51 jersey to wear just for him!
